Convulsor is a really great, dark piece but it has a couple of secrets (don’t we all). As you know, many of the effects at Curious Pieces incorporate electronics made by some of the best minds in mentalism and magic.
The Convulsor comes with two hi-tech devices to make the trick work.
A genuine PK Box by the inimitable Tim Wisseman. It took me ages to find one of these as Tim doesnt make many and when I purchased mine it was literally the last one in the store (shout out to the guys at Gemini Artifacts). I used the box in the usual spirit bell type routine but the aged look (and the smell) of the device just begged to be used in something more.
The box has a wonderful remote-operated device that causes the bell to ring at will.
You’ll notice there is also a wooden device on the top, this is removable and fits perfectly inside the box. This is a vintage shock therapy device, undoubtedly used to “cure” some poor soul of a mental affliction.
The lightbulb on the top is also under the control of the performer operated with a separate remote.
And thats what you are paying for here. Along with the other incredible props and storyline.
